The Strait Capital Investment Group was established in 2013 by three founding partners, Mr. Benny Hu, Mr. Rick Lu, and Mr. Jack Lee.

The Strait Capital Investment Group was established in 2013 by three founding partners, Mr. Benny Hu, Mr. Rick Lu, and Mr. Jack Lee. Mr. Rick Lu worked at China Development Industrial Bank between 1995 to 2004 under the leadership of Mr. Benny Hu, who was the President of the bank between 1993 to 2004. In the early 2000s, the rise of Asia economy and the vibrant investment atmosphere surrounding Asia invigorated the three founding partners to spin-off China Development Industrial Bank in 2004 to capitalize on Asia's flourishing middle and affluent classes and the growing demand for higher quality of products and services.

In 2014 Strait Capital Investment Group setup China Consumer Fund to capitalize on aforementioned opportunities, the founding partners have planned, executed, strategized and led this firm and they expect this leadership tradition to progress into the future.
